TRN Black Pearl is an innovative portable DAC and amplifier designed for precise sound delivery and versatile functionality. This model features two CS43131 DAC chips, recognized for their energy efficiency and exceptional resolution. Additionally, it incorporates a CB5100 USB bridge chip, which guarantees reliable performance with digital audio signals.
The device is capable of decoding PCM at rates up to 384 kHz / 32 bit and DSD up to DSD256. This capability enables it to handle both standard audio formats and high-resolution sound, ensuring that micro details and smooth transitions between frequencies are maintained. Even during the playback of ambient sounds, the device retains clarity and depth.
The TRN Black Pearl features two headphone outputs: a balanced 4.4 mm and a standard 3.5 mm. This versatility allows users to connect a variety of headphones and tailor the connection to their specific needs. However, it does not support simultaneous use of both outputs.
Control is facilitated through several buttons located on the device’s body, complemented by a light indicator for easy navigation: blue indicates standby mode, green signifies PCM playback, and red shows DSD operation. This design allows for straightforward control without the need to check a smartphone or player screen.
Constructed from metal with tempered glass on both sides, the model’s design enhances its resistance to physical impacts while keeping its dimensions compact.
Additionally, the TRN Black Pearl supports sound recording and calling through the 3.5 mm jack, making it not just a music player but also a practical communication tool. Its compatibility with Android headsets and linear control further enhances user convenience.
Users can access flexible equalizer settings via the WALK PLAY application, allowing for personalized sound adjustments through an 8-band equalizer.
