The Canton DM 60 TV Sound Stand replaces the Canton DM 55 TV Sound Stand. The glass top, improvements in sound and the same price make it even more attractive.
The TV stand format is gaining increasing popularity among soundbar manufacturers. And this is no coincidence. The large volume of the cabinet allows you to place powerful woofers and provide them with an effective bass reflex. Such a speaker system, even at a low height, can do without a subwoofer. In addition, it can easily accommodate a powerful amplifier and any set of a wide variety of decoders and processors. Under the TV, such a soundbar takes up very little space. The only drawback is that if there is no bedside table, it will not be able to be mounted on the wall.
When creating the Canton DM 60 model, the designers decided not to complicate the design, but to pay attention to power. All system emitters are divided into three strips: two 19 mm tweeters, two 50 mm midrange diffusers and two 100 mm woofers located at the bottom of the housing. The bass reflex horns are located along the edges of the rear wall of the housing. The body itself is made of HDF boards. This set of drivers, together with a powerful amplifier (200 W), ensures operation of the system in a wide frequency range: from 40 Hz to 23 kHz.
In a niche on the rear wall there is a set of standard inputs: linear RCA, coaxial and optical. A subwoofer output is provided. And, according to the demand of the modern market, of course, Bluetooth support must be present. In our model, this protocol is represented by version 4.0 with support for the apt-X codec. It’s nice to have both a Dolby Digital decoder and a DTS decoder (which is not often found in budget models). It is possible to adjust the HF/LF tone and enable the Virtual surround mode.
The ability to adjust the audio delay for proper coordination with slow-witted TVs (LipSync) is quite relevant. Three equalizer presets will help you get a more natural sound depending on where the soundbar is placed: free, under the TV, on a shelf. The device is controlled from the remote control and initiates settings on the LED indicator. It is possible to train the device to control it from any other remote control.
