A small American company, which became famous for its discrete op-amps, introduced Gemini, a hybrid headphone amplifier. It has two outputs – asymmetrical 6.35 mm and balanced 4-Pin XLR, as well as line inputs and outputs on RCA connectors. Level control – Alps Blue Velvet.
The output stages are based on discrete op-amps of our own design and production SS2590, proprietary voltage regulators are used in the power supply. The circuit is without general feedback and isolation capacitors in signal circuits.
The input stage is based on a 6922 lamp. It is possible to easily replace and select lamps based on sound. Output impedance less than <0.25 ohm, frequency range 10 Hz – 100 kHz. Output power 2 W @ 32 ohms, 750 mW @ 300 ohms, 15 V peak output voltage, 250 mA peak output current, THD – 0.1% – 1.5% depending on settings.
