Moondrop has introduced its premier Kadenz in-ear headphones, equipped with a second-generation ultra-linear full-range dynamic driver. This driver boasts a TAC diamond-coated composite dome diaphragm along with a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) dome substrate. The development of this driver took Moondrop more than two years. Additional features include a built-in brass internal acoustic cavity and an external waveguide design, which work together to minimize harsh high-frequency resonances, delivering a smooth and extended high-frequency response.
The developers have modified the internal architecture of the acoustic cavity for the new dynamic driver. The Moondrop Kadenz headphones feature an enhanced patented third-generation dust filter, which effectively minimizes earwax buildup and enhances sound permeability throughout the entire frequency spectrum.
The earphone housings are produced through the MIM powder metallurgy technique. They undergo hand polishing and sandblasting to achieve a luxurious matte finish. This process enables an exceptional design while ensuring robust rigidity.
Moondrop Kadenz headphones are equipped with a silver-plated copper cable featuring a balanced 4.4 mm connector. Additionally, the package includes an adapter for a 3.5 mm mini-jack and a selection of ergonomic ear tips in various sizes.
Furthermore, the manufacturer provides a portable USB-DAC adapter, ECHO-B, alongside the headphones. This adapter features a USB-C port and a balanced 4.4 mm output for headphone connectivity. It is designed to decode high-resolution PCM digital streams with specifications reaching up to 32 bit / 384 kHz.
